Creators unpack how Gen Z thinks, creates, and drives digital culture at Summit of Future 2026.
Kochi: What does Gen Z really want and why does their content sometimes break the internet and sometimes quietly disappear? These questions took centre stage at ‘Vibe Check 2026: How Gen Z Speaks, Thinks, and Shapes Trends,’ a session featuring social media influencers at the Summit of Future 2026, hosted by Jain (Deemed-to-be University).
Moving beyond stereotypes, the discussion framed Gen Z as a mindset rather than a birth-year bracket. Content creator Varsha Ramesh said she doesn’t create content for a specific generation but understands the Gen Z pulse closely. “I don’t make content for a generation, but I get the Gen Z vibe—two of them are my siblings. Not everything clicks. Consistency does,” she said, highlighting the unpredictability of digital success.
Echoing this view, influencer Gokul Raj challenged rigid generational labels. “Gen Z isn’t about birth years; it’s a vibe. Millennials can think Gen Z, and Gen Z can think millennial,” he said, pointing to the fluid nature of digital thinking and content consumption.
Actor and content creator Prarthana Indrajith spoke about choice and agency in the social media ecosystem. “Content doesn’t need labels. Social media has good and bad – you choose what you consume,” she noted.
Automobile creator Mia Joseph brought attention to ethics in influencer marketing. “I know a car within minutes of driving it. I keep things honest, even with brand collaborations,” she remarked.
