Kochi: As Kochi continues to emerge as a global brand, environmental issues, including air pollution, must remain central to discussions on the city’s future, said Hibi Eden, MP. He was speaking on the topic ‘Oru Kochi Katha’ at the Summit of Future, organised by Jain University.
While acknowledging the many changes and developments the city has witnessed, Hibi Eden pointed out that persistent environmental challenges continue to affect Kochi. Referring to Kochi’s evolving identity, he noted that the name ‘Kochi’ is increasingly replacing ‘Ernakulam’ and gaining recognition worldwide as a brand. Hibi Eden also shared his views on political reform, stating that there should be a retirement age in politics and that the current leadership must create space for new entrants.
