Stories of Resilience Inspire Summit of Future Audience

Kochi: Voices of resilience and self-acceptance energized the Summit of Future as speakers shared personal journeys of overcoming social barriers at a session titled “Different Paths: Swimming Against the Current,” organized by Jain University.

 

Miss Trans Global winner Shruti Sitara spoke about her transition and credited her family’s support, while reminding that many transgender people lack such acceptance and deserve greater social inclusion.

 

Plus-size model Jinsi Bobu said she entered modeling after the age of 40, challenging body stereotypes and age barriers. She emphasized that confidence and family support helped her reject fear and express herself freely.

 

Writer and entrepreneur Neetu Paulson recounted facing ridicule and color-based discrimination, which she now confronts through her writing. She encouraged individuals to resist social judgment and live authentically.

 

The panel also addressed online hate, stressing that dignity and mutual respect must guide public discourse. The session concluded with a call to build a more empathetic generation.
